Mr. Hani Mohammed Al Zubair
Chairman
Mr. Hani Al Zubair is an experienced business leader with a strong background in finance, investment, corporate governance, and strategic leadership across both local and international markets. He began his career in investment banking in Geneva before joining Morgan Grenfell Bank in London. Returning to Oman, he went on to play a pivotal role at Oman International Development and Investment Company (Ominvest), where he later served as Chairman. Today, Mr. Al Zubair holds several prominent leadership positions. As well as being Chairman of Sharakah he is also Chairman of National Finance Company, Vice-Chairman of The Zubair Corporation, Chairman of the Oman–Switzerland Friendship Association, and Vice-Chairman of both Alizz Islamic Bank and the National College of Automotive Technology. Over the course of his career, he has also served on the boards of a number of leading financial institutions, including Oman Arab Bank, Commercial Bank of Oman, Muscat Finance Company, and the Financial Corporation (FINCORP). Beyond the corporate sector, Mr. Al Zubair has made significant contributions to Oman’s national development. He has served on the Board of the National Training Fund, the Advisory Committee for the National CEO Program, and as a private-sector representative on the boards of several government-owned hotels, helping to strengthen public-private collaboration and support economic growth. Mr. Al Zubair holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science from Richmond University in the United Kingdom.
MS. Maryam al balushi
Vice Chair person
Senior banking executive with over 23 years of experience across Corporate, Large Corporate, and SME banking, with strong expertise in credit, risk management, portfolio oversight, and strategic leadership.
Currently Assistant General Manager – Large Corporates at Bank Dhofar, overseeing multi-sector portfolios exceeding OMR 700 million. Holds a Master’s degree in International Marketing (University of Strathclyde, UK) and advanced executive certifications. Actively supports SME development and women empowerment initiatives, and is recognized as a trusted bilingual (Arabic–English) leader with strong governance and stakeholder insight.
Mr. Rashad Jaffar Al Shaikh
Director
Rashad boasts more than 25 years of diverse banking expertise encompassing Investment Banking, Corporate & SME Banking, and Retail Banking. He presently serves as Deputy Group Head of Retail Banking at Oman Arab Bank.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, USA.
Mr. Qais Mahmood Al-Khonji
Director
Qais Al Khonji, an Atlantic College, Wales, UK, IB graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems from De Montfort University, has a diverse entrepreneurial background. He has explored various business ventures from Import-Export to Enhanced Oil Recovery while also contributing to his family business.
In addition to his involvement with Sharakah, he has served on the boards of companies like Oman National Engineering & Investment CO. and Muscat National Holding.
He has also represented Oman within the Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
Ms. Malvika Khimji
Director
Having completed her education in Oman and UK, Malvika graduated in Law from The University of Westminster.
She worked at Trowers & Hamlins besides various law firms in Oman before joining the family business in 2013 as the first woman Director on the Board of Khimji Ramdas. Her journey began in the Consumer Products Cluster, working with leading global brands like Procter & Gamble, Kellogg’s, and Red Bull, and eventually taking on the responsibility of overseeing the operations of the Projects and Logistics Cluster, which includes shipping, multimodal logistics, travel and tourism, and insurance services.
Malvika has gained valuable insights into managing people resources while overseeing the Human Resources vertical at Khimji Ramdas as Director. Her aim is to contribute holistically to nation-building and people development.
Mr. Hassan Abdul Amir Shaban
Director
Hassan A. Shaban is a General Manager-Chief Government Banking Officer at National Bank of Oman SAOG.
He is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of wide-ranging experience of Government Banking, Communication, Public Relations, Marketing and Branding, Wealth Management & Financial Services with organizations like Commerzbank of Zurich, Majan International Bank, and latest with National bank Of Oman since April 2004. He is representing NBO on Sharakah Board.
Previously, Mr. Shaban worked in Diplomatic field as Omani Commercial attaché in South Africa – 1993-1995 and Oman Commercial attaché in Taiwan – 1995 – 1997.
He holds an MBA in General Management from the University of Nottingham.
MR. Rashad ali al musafir
Director
Rashad A. Al Musafir is the Founder and Managing Partner of FinScape SPC and a seasoned financial executive with over 25 years of experience in banking, financial services, and corporate advisory.
He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Oman Arab Bank and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Bank Sohar, holding several senior C-suite roles including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. Throughout his career, he has led major financial transformation initiatives, capital raising programs, and strategic growth projects across the banking sector.
Mr. Al Musafir has also served on the boards of several financial and industry institutions, including Oman Development Bank, Alizz Islamic Bank, the Oman Banking Association, and the Institute of Banking & Financial Studies.
He holds dual degrees with honors in Economics and Finance from Boston University and has completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
